Strange Cargo is a reflection of all the different musical influences that Laurence has lived to date. Made up of Soothsayer horns Idris Raman and Robin Hopcraft, the innovative guitar sound of Rob Updegraff, Tom Mason and Saleem Raman on bass and drums respectively.
You can hear three part harmonies, grooves from all over the African continent, colourful horn arrangements, interlocking guitar patterns all wrapped up into songs that reflect the London background of all the musicians; not heard anywhere on the UK popular music scene.

Side of the Track was recorded completely live in a barn on the outskirts of a little village called Laxfield in Suffolk. Strange Cargo turned the place into a makeshift studio for a week, recording straight to tape.
