Laurence has been working in London for the past eighteen years as a freelance guitarist and singer and over the last ten years has firmly established himself on the city's jazz and swing scene working closely with a wealth of unique and talented musicians.

Inspired and influenced by artists such as Fats Waller, Jimmy Reed, Teddy Bunn and Nat King Cole, he has been kept busy with regular live swing, jazz and blues gigs here in London. Whether it's playing as part of a big band, an organ trio, a blues duo or even solo, all singing and all swinging with his guitar. He is an extremely versatile musician with knowledge of a vast repertoire and has a great sensitivity and knack for accompanying singers working regularly with the likes of Sara Oschlag, Sara Dowling, Caroline Loftus, Julia Biel and Louise Messenger. He also has a love and understanding of New Orleans Jazz and plays regularly with Dom Pipkin, Paddy Milner and The Coalminers.

Over the last ten years you may have spotted him in some of the City's most prestigious Jazz Venues: 606, Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Green Note, The Jazz Cafe, Kansas Smitty's and The Crypt.

Accompanying Swing dancers at Tiger Rag, Cakewalk Cafe, Wilton's Music Hall, 100 Club and The Ned Hotel.

Enthralling diners and drinkers in some of the city's most elegant cocktail bars and restaurants such as The Savoy, Nightjar, Fitz's Bar, Cafe Boheme, Brasserie Zedel, Soho House, The Oxo Tower and The Ritz.

Or entertaining guests at high class functions for people such as Jon Snow, Mumford and Sons and Sir Paul McCartney.

As a result of his years playing in London he has engineered a huge network of musicians and has in recent years been called upon to coordinate music for various events and venues. These include an eight year residency booking for the Churchill Hotel and booking music for Smolensky's on The Strand.
